After I made my list I hung this list up on my shower mirror and also on my refrigerator door. I wanted each day to see my motivation for changing my behavior this helped considerably since quitting smoking is a decision one has to make everyday. When you stop smoking you have to presume there will be times when you will error but in the times past that I slipped, I just accepted failure and started smoking full steam ahead. This time if I backslid and bought a pack of cigarettes or smoked one I begged from a friend I allowed myself forgiveness for not being perfect and started right back up.

As soon as I saw the scales go up I made sure to go to the gym more and not to replace eating with smoking. I also rewarded myself by pampering myself with a little something I usually would not do for myself. I will not say that I don't think about smoking from time to time and more than likely always will but I also prompt myself that what you save is both money and health.
