I have a biased view when it relates to answering the question that's the title of this article, and I know it. Economic times being what they are, most everyone is trying to save money where they can, and this looks like a great tradeoff to me.
Third, bare wood furniture permits you to put your creative stamp on it as you finish the piece, instead of getting something "just like every third house in the country." Express yourself! Be unique! Create something that's real "you."
Fourth, bare wood furniture is more long-lasting. That's as, ultimately, all that pressboard actually isn't extremely strong. All wood furniture is as rugged and durable as it's appealing.
