An African safari is not finished without having a ride on a hot air balloon.
In 1976, Alan Root and his wife Joan- wildlife movie makers, used a hot air balloon to capture picture clips of wildlife. It was quicker, to use the balloon to access spots where a motor vehicle could not reach, to film spectacular aerials of wild animals.

After one hour afloat, the flight ends and a bouncy landing brings us back to the ground. Here we inch out of the basket to a champagne breakfast. The beauty is that this breakfast happens in the bush, where ever you land, and it's prepared as you see with the burners that minutes before kept you floating in the air. What a way to start our day!

Abruptly we bump into a mother cheetah marking her territory, spraying it with urine. Finished, she scans our company and then releases a soft tweeting sound as she makes her way through the grass. Probably she is searching for her cubs.
